Dedication

Our practice spans architecture, urbanism and landscape, weaving together scales, ecosystems and habitat. To live is to think of both the intimate shelter and the living environment, the room and the public square, the sky, the view, the climate and the food in the heart of our cities. Passionate about architectural, sociological, historical, philosophical, aesthetic and ecological knowledge, our projects are always anchored in a context and a territorial depth. In search of new ways of living from common spaces, we have contributed to the creation of new gardens in the heart of the city of Geneva, such as in Les Chaumettes, Chantepoulet, Agasse Weber (Geneva – CH), but also new neighbourhoods such as in Meyrin les Vergers (Meyrin – CH) or around the stations of the Léman express (Eaux-vives and Lancy Bachet – GE). In the perspective of the ecological and social transition, we consider urban infrastructures as project spaces and public spaces in their own right, combining multimodality, scalability, water management, arborisation and living soil. In the field of architecture and heritage, we have developed a careful practice of renovation and reuse that combines economy of means, the art of transformation and innovation, as in the case of the energy renovation of the Carl Vogt housing estate (Jonction, Geneva – GE) or the Bio cinema (Carouge – GE). We are deeply convinced that the act of building must simultaneously confront the challenges of the Anthropocene, the terroirs and the needs of the actors in these territories in order to get away from the still dominant logic of standardisation and the clean slate. Public interventions or round tables, writing articles go hand in hand with our projects.
