Redevelopment of Louis-Casaï avenue

SEUILS VIVANTS – Winning project of parallel study mandates in selective procedure.

The project considers public road space as a support for local and urban functioning. It is entitled “Seuils Vivants” (Living thresholds), in reference to the sequence of junctions and wide crossings associated with them. These thresholds are major interface points and pedestrian crossings on transverse routes. The project maintains all access to the neighborhoods (right and left turns): the role of avenue Casaï in local and multimodal accessibility. It enhances the fluidity of public transport by prioritizing it at access junctions to the avenue and within the system via regulation. It increases comfort and the role of active modes: linearity and transversality. The road layout for individual and public transport defined for 2030 provides a long-term structure for the area up to 2050 and beyond, offering generous areas for development and planting as land is released.
